I decided to start writing a blog about life and things I find interesting, whether it be funny, shitty, awesome, or etc. You'll hear some stories about life and there will definitely be pictures and videos! I hope you enjoy!
Any comments/questions/concerns, just e-mail me: lifeandeverythinginteresting@gmail.com
Hello Bloggerverse (I wait for the day that I will write that word and there will no longer be that irritating red dotted line under it. A day where the world will be peaceful, and world hunger will be over! What a world we would be living in)!
Alright, motha truckas! So today is Saturday and I'm guessing a bunch of you are going to go out partying tonight, but before you do, listen up because I've got some pretty interesting stuff that I know you all would love to hear about!
BOOK PUBLISHED TO HELP CHILDREN UNDERSTAND HOMELAND SECURITY
My First Cavity Search Cover
Yep, you read the title of the book right, "My First Cavity Search". Homeland Security decided that it would be a great idea to publish a book teaching children about cavity searches. So basically this book is the opposite of "Everyone Poops", because instead of something coming out of your butt, something is going in...awkward! I seriously don't understand why they would make this. On the cover of the book it says "Helping your child understand why he may pose a threat to National Security"...seriously?! I would never buy my child this book. Even I don't want to read this book, it seems so weird. The security guards look so excited for this cavity search, does that not creep anyone out? I just don't get how they could actually sell this. What do you think? Would you buy this book for your child?
Alright, so I'm going to guess that most of you saw The Social Network, the movie about Mark Zuckerberg and the founding of Facebook. I for one thought it was a phenomenal movie, and I guess so did Bluewater Productions because not only are they publishing a comic book about Zuckerberg called Mark Zuckerberg and the Found, but they are also teaming up with Hayden 5 Media to make an animated movie based off of the comic book.
I think that the story of how Facebook came to be is a great story. There's betrayal, lying, all that jazz. But I honestly think we can stop at The Social Network and its literary counterpart, Accidental Billionaires. I mean Barack Obama was in an issue of Spider-Man, but an entire comic book about Mark Zuckerberg? And then an animated movie based off of that comic book? That just seems like a bad idea. I mean who knows, maybe it'll be good, but we shall have to see in December when the comic book comes out. What do you think about an animated movie about Facebook?
NEIL PATRICK HARRIS IS THE MAN
THE GREATEST MAN ALIVE!
Neil Patrick Harris or to some, NPH, is hands down the greatest man ever to walk the earth. Now if you're reading this blog and have no idea who NPH is, you should probably go look in the mirror, ask yourself "What have I wasted my life doing?" and then smack your face multiple times. Neil Patrick Harris has been on TV, on Broadway, in movies, he's hosted awards shows, he's done it all and he does it right. He is always amazing in anything he does and I think that America and the world need to recognize this. Recently a friend of mine posted a video on my wall that exhibits just how awesome and epic Neil Patrick Harris is and it made me want to tell the world, so I figured why not talk about him on my blog.
Neil Patrick Harris was on Doogie Howser, M.D. when he was 16 years old. He played a 16 year old genius doctor. I've recently just started watching this show, and it's great! It's very 80s/90s, and I love it! Very funny and awesome! You can totally see the Neil Patrick Harris of now in his 16 year old self, just by the mannerisms and everything. About a month ago, I started watching How I Met Your Mother, a show that NPH is currently on. He is so epic on it! I've already talked about it on my blog, but Neil Patrick Harris plays Barney Stinson who is just full of awesomeness, and is basically Neil Patrick Harris, but straight. Oh yeah, if you didn't know, Neil Patrick Harris is gay. So if you are a girl reading this blog and want Neil Patrick Harris to have babies with you, sorry, can't happen, he likes dudes. Anyway, he's been in both Harold and Kumar movies and will be in the third. He's also been in Rent on Broadway and directed it at The Hollywood Bowl in LA. NPH also has a web movie called Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and it is genius! You really have to check it out! These are just a few of the awesome things he's done. And yes, I get that many other actors may have been in movies and TV and Broadway, but Neil Patrick Harris is hands down the best of all the different forms of entertainment. I said it before and I will say it again, Neil Patrick Harris is the man! Below are two videos displaying NPH's awesomeness:
Alright, so I hope you enjoyed my blog tonight. Don't party too hard tonight, cause next week is Thanksgiving and thats when the real partying begins! Wooo! Pilgrims and Native Americans!!! Anyway, have a good night, I hope it's interesting.
If you like what you read today, come back and read again...and if you didn't "GO F*** YOURSELF!" Only joking, come back tomorrow and see if you like that. These are the things that I live, see, and hear everyday, they interest me and I hope they interest you. Thanks for checking out my blog!
Hello Bloggerverse (I've decided that while Congress is voting on if it becomes a word or not, I will just ignore the fact that there is a line under the word...that red dotted line...that line that tells the world that this word is not real...but just you wait SpellCheck! It shall be! Oh yes! It shall be a word!)
Anyway, HARRY POTTER COMES OUT TONIGHT!!! For those of you who don't know what Harry Potter is....I have nothing to say, unless you're a baby who was born yesterday and just learned to read by reading my blog over the past 24 hours, then I forgive you for not knowing what it is. And congratulations on being born! You are now a day old! Mazel Tov! Anyway, this blog post really has nothing to do with Harry Potter, but I'm just very excited for the release! Don't worry, the blog is still fun and interesting and awesome, so read and enjoy.
Remember that Spieldberg movie from 2002 about the con-man, Frank Abagnale Jr., played by Leonardo DiCaprio, who kept slipping through the fingers of FBI agent, Carl Hanratty, played by Tom Hanks. Remember? He made counterfeit money...pretended to be a pilot, doctor, teacher, etc. Oh, now you do. Good. Well guess what?! They made it into a musical! Now I know what most of you are thinking, "Oh no! Another movie made into a musical?!". But actually, this musical has been getting some great reviews and I think will actually be really good.
The show is being directed by Jack O'Brien and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, both of whom worked on Hairspray together. And although most of us forget, before the Nikki Blonsky/Zac Efron "Hairspray" that we all know and love, there was a Hairspray from the 80s that wasn't a musical. So don't go dissing this new musical just yet. The two actors set to play the parts orignally played by DiCaprio and Hanks, Abagnale Jr. and Hanratty, will be Aaron Tveit (Next To Normal) and Norbert Leo Butz (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels). Now I have seen both Next To Normal and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with these two actors in them, and I can tell you that they are phenomenal! Both are perfect choices for each of the characters and I really can't wait to see them in action. The show will start previews on March 7 2011 and will have it's opening night on April 10 2011. I for one will be buying tickets and seeing this show, how about you? Below is a video of one of the songs from the show called "Fly, Fly Away" (Sorry for the poor quality):
Finally, Warner Bros has released the trailer for Green Lantern. For once women and comic book geeks are on the same page, they both can't wait for this movie to come out. Though the comic book fans want the story, while the women want Reynolds body, but still it's nice to know that we're getting closer to living in an Apatow World.
Ryan Reynolds stars as Hal Jordan, otherwise known as The Green Lantern in DC's newest superhero movie. This movie caters to both men and women in just the fact of casting. Reynolds as The Green Lantern and the beautiful Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) as Carol Ferris. I already wanted to see this film, but now that I know that Blake Lively looks incredibly hot in it makes me want to see it even more. The super suit looks a little weird and too CGI to me, so hopefully it doesn't actually look like that during the movie, cause I think my eyes might start to hurt. I think that the humor in the trailer is okay, but I honestly believe Ryan Reynolds is hysterical, so I really hope the guy who edited the trailer just picked bad scenes. The movie does look pretty epic. One weird thing is the fact that they only really show the ring being used once, and I thought they'd accent it more because that's where The Green Lantern's power derives from. Anyway, I have high hopes for this movie and I really hope that they are fulfilled. Below is the trailer for Green Lantern, so you decide if you're going to go see it this summer or just buy it on DVD:
SO MANY CHANGES TO AMERICAN IDOL WILL YOU STILL WATCH? Story from TVGuide
The New Judges: Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler
I can still remember back to watching Kelly Clarkson singing "A Moment Like This" after she became the first American Idol ever. The show has become a phenomenon and has lasted 9 seasons. The 10th season is coming up and it really just doesn't feel like the same American Idol anymore. I used to watch American Idol religiously, but over the past couple of years, I usually will just watch the auditions (for the really horrible singers), Idol Gives Back, and the finale.
The show is going into some big changes in it's 10th season, and I'm not really sure if this will help or hurt them. First off, the new panel of judges consists of Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler. I don't know it just really doesn't feel like the same feel of the original American Idol now that both Paula and Simon are off the show...especially Simon. Another change is that the idols will have do stuff like make the best music video to promote themselves. Since when do artists make there own music videos anyway? They're just trying to make the show different, but I don't like this new addition. Other changes such as an in-house mentor, and the themes of each week are decades now instead of artists are also in affect.
I don't know, it just doesn't seem like the American Idol that I first feel in love with years ago. We'll see how these changes affect the ratings. American Idol starts up again this January. Are you going to watch?
Yesterday I told you all that Warner Bros. wants to remake The Wizard of Oz with Robert Zemeckis as the director. Well we're in luck! Robert Zemeckis will not be directing this movie, although he was on the top of Warner Bros. list of directors for the project. Although, we are still not in luck because Warner Bros. is still going on with this picture. Am I the only one who thinks that you can't remake a classic like The Wizard of Oz?
MERCHANDISE FOR MY BLOG
This kid wants some merchandise!
Alright, so last night I was messing around on Custom Ink, an awesome custom clothing design website, and I made a shirt to sell to all of my Phans! Right now the shirts are just for show and are a little joke, but hopefully when my blog blows up and becomes big, I'll actually be able to sell them. If I seriously have enough people who contact me (lifeandeverythinginteresting@gmail.com) telling me they want these shirts, I might actually start selling them sooner. The shirts are below! I hope you enjoy them!

Here is an extra gift! For those of you who don't know, I am in love with Ariana Grande from Nickelodeon's Victorious and Broadway's 13 (don't worry, she'll probably be talked about more on here). Here is a picture of her, ready for this evening's festivities:
Ariana Grande all ready to see HP7!
Alright, so that's all for today! I hope you all enjoyed my blog and are going to go see Harry Potter tonight! I'll talk about it tomorrow! Don't worry, no spoilers! Have a nice night! EXPECTO PATRONUM!!!
If you like what you read today, come back and read again...and if you didn't "GO F*** YOURSELF!" Only joking, come back tomorrow and see if you like that. These are the things that I live, see, and hear everyday, they interest me and I hope they interest you. Thanks for checking out my blog!
Hello Bloggerverse (the reason I haven't been blogging for the past two weeks is actually because I had to go to Washington D.C. to talk to Barack Obama about making a new law making Bloggerverse a word...still hasn't been approved by Congress)!
Alright, so seriously, I am super duper sorry that I haven't blogged for 2 weeks! First I was home, then I had a bunch of projects due and it was just really hectic. I had many people tell me that they missed reading my blog posts, which made me really happy, so this blog post is dedicated to you true Phans our there! (you see what i did there? I put Phil and fans together to make Phans!) Anyway, I have some pretty awesome and interesting news to tell you guys about, so welcome back and read away!
WARNER BROS. WANTS TO REMAKE WIZARD OF OZ W/ ROBERT ZEMECKIS DIRECTING Story from SlashFilm
Original Wizard of Oz
Trust me, when I first heard about this, I was just as surprised as you are now. A remake of one of the biggest classics of all time? Yes, there has been Wicked, The Wiz, Tin Man, but these are all a different telling of the story. They now want to legitimately remake one of the greatest musicals ever! The geniuses over at Warner Bros. don't want to change anything, they want to use the same script as the 1939 version of the movie.
Robert Zemeckis is a great director, case in point, Back To The Future, but is he seriously going to try and remake such a classic movie? I can't even believe somebody thought this was a good idea and that they might actually go along with it. My dad is a huge Wizard of Oz fan and I know him and many other true Oz fans will probably be very pissed if this happens. Alright, so the special effects could be 1000% better now, but who cares? It was the late 1930s and that's what's so great about this movie. I really think that Warner Bros. should just throw this idea away before it goes any further, what do you think?
Matt LeBlanc, Joey from Friends, is trying to make his comeback with a new show on Showtime called Episodes. Matt will play himself on the show. His character is basically trying to do the same thing that he's trying to do in real life, make a comeback. It's art imitating life, isn't it beautiful.
A British couple is turning its British TV-show into an American Sitcom, much like what they did with The Office, and they need an actor for one of the main characters, and Matt Leblanc is the last person on their list. It's really weird seeing "Joey" older and grayer, but he seems very funny in this. He makes fun of himself, as do the other characters. It's seems like very funny and awkward humor which is always great. Plus they have British people in the show and we know that the Brits are always hysterical, so I really think this show has potential. It is going to air on Sundays at 9:30 PM and the series starts on January 9th. Don't worry, I'll remind you about the show when we get closer to it. I think I'll give Matt LeBlanc another chance, what about you? Here's the trailer for Matt LeBlanc's new show, Episodes:
I'm going to guess that most of you have heard of the drink Four Loko. If you have not, basically all you need to know is that one can of Four Loko is the equivalent of four beers, a red bull, and one cup of coffee. Now first off, think about this, coffee and red bull both speed up your heart rate, while beer slows it down. What is your body supposed to do when it takes in both caffeine and alcohol? It doesn't know! Hence, why people have died from drinking this drink.
Apparently the company who makes Four Loko, Phusion Projects, says they will be taking the caffeine and two other ingredients out of their drinks. My question is why didn't the FDA pick up on this sooner? How did they actually allow this drink to be put on the market? But thankfully, finally something is happening and hopefully this will make things better. Many college campuses and even entire states have started to ban the drink from being sold there. Drinking should be done responsibly and a company like Four Loko is really not helping the cause. I'm not straight-edge, and I'm not trying to preach anything here, but all I'm saying is a drink like Four Loko is just stupid. College Humor has the same sentiments as me and made a video of an "Honest Four Loko Commercial" which is below (please remember everyone, drink responsibly...you only have one life to live):
YOUR HIGHNESS HITS THEATERS THIS APRIL More on IMDB
James Franco, Zooey Deschanel, and Danny McBride in Your Highness
James Franco, Danny McBride, Zooey Deschanel, and Natalie Portman...plus knights who smoke pot?!?!?! I want to buy my tickets now!!! Your Highness is coming out this April and is sure to be a stoner classic. There's "Wayne and Garth", "Bill and Ted", "Jay and Silent Bob", "Dale and Sal", and soon, there will be "Fabious and Thadeous". Franco (Fabious) and McBride (Thadeous) play two brothers who must go on a quest to save their father's kingdom and Fabious' love, Zooey Deschanel.
This movie is just awesome for the fact that the characters talk as if they're from Medieval Times, but they also curse and say stuff that we say now. It's Princess Bride meets Pineapple Express and what a coincidence, the director of Pineapple Express directed this as well. I really think that this will be one of the funniest movies of 2011. Not only is it a rockstar cast, but the writing is great and it really looks wonderful. Plus, Natalie Portman is in a thong, so you know this movie is gonna be awesome! When action meets comedy, its bound to be hilarious and I think that will happen with this. Your Highness comes to theaters April 8th 2011, will you go see it? Check out the trailer below:
So a couple of weeks ago I posted about a new show called Glory Daze that is about college and takes place in the 80s. The series premiere was last night and what I will say is the show definitely has promise. It was funny and I really enjoyed it. I think they need to work on it a little more, but it is very well done and not like the usual shows on TV, especially visually. All of the classic 80s songs that they use in the show make it even better. There are references to things such as "electronic mail", what we know as e-mail, and the characters think it's a crazy thing. It's just funny poking jokes at the future. Also the show has some great people, including the 4 main characters Drew Seeley, Kelly Blatz, Matt Bush, and Hartley Sawyer, who I think are great, they also have Tim Meadows (Mean Girls), Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond), and Cheri Oteri (SNL). If you didn't get a chance to see the show, you should really check it out, it was actually pretty funny.
Here's a picture of a dog and a cat wrestling...or are they?!
Anyway, I'm sorry once again that I haven't posted in 2 weeks, but I will really try and keep posting daily. Tomorrow I'm not so sure though, because I have class, acapella, and then HARRY POTTER 7 B*TCHES!!! But I will try! Thank you sooo much for reading my blog! I love all of my Phans!!!
If you like what you read today, come back and read again...and if you didn't "GO F*** YOURSELF!" Only joking, come back tomorrow and see if you like that. These are the things that I live, see, and hear everyday, they interest me and I hope they interest you. Thanks for checking out my blog!
Hello Bloggerverse (okay spellcheck, I get it! it's not a real word! stop with the f***ing dotted red underline)!
That's right! It has been a week since my first blog post! Not only am I happy that people are actually reading my blog and telling me how much they like it, I'm also just really happy that I stuck with it (unlike the trumpet, sorry mom!). Anyway, I have some interesting and awesome things to tell you, so listen up, cause I ain't gonna say it twice (I mean it's online, so you could obviously read it again and again, but I'm not gonna write it again, so pay attention...you know what, basically I'm just trying to say read what I have to say please...thank you!)!
So I'm guessing most of you have heard that there is a Spider-man musical coming to Broadway, if not, you must be living under a rock. I'm also going to guess that most of you have heard that the musical is one of the most expensive ever ($60 million, to be exact) and that it has been post-poned time and time again, if you did not know this, then you must be living under an even bigger rock. Anyway, on the show's website, it says "Arrives NOV14 on Broadway", well once again, the show is going to be pushed back.
In the past couple of weeks, two performers from the show injured themselves in the same catapult stunt. One of them broke both wrists, while the other broke both feet. In shows with flying and stunts such as Spider-man, it is illegal for the show to perform for the public until inspectors have inspected the stunts and have certified that they are safe. Although the show needed to do this anyway, the recent injuries have prompted public attention to these unsafe conditions. Therefore, once again the show will probably be pushed back and I'm thinking won't open until 2011.
I want to see this show, not because I think it will be good, I want to see it mainly because I want to see what a show that costs $60 million is actually like. Matt, a guy on my floor, told me that one of his professors figured that a show costing $60 million would have to run for approximately 8 years, with a full house every single night, just to make back the original $60 million. This is from adding up average ticket sales and such, so it is a rough estimate, but that's still f***ing crazy and probably won't happen. The music and lyrics are by Bono and The Edge and the director is Julie Taymor (who directed The Lion King) so it seems like the show should be really good, but I really don't know. Do you think you'll buy tickets to see Spider-man: Turn Off The Dark? Here's a video from Good Morning America of one of the songs from the show called "Boy Falls From The Sky":
GULLIVER'S TRAVELS MOVIE STARRING JACK BLACK More on IMDB
Gulliver's Travels Poster
Gulliver's Travels is a story from the 1700s and is now being brought back to the big screen. Basically Gulliver gets shipwrecked and finds himself on an island inhabited by people who are no bigger than a G.I. Joe action figure. In this new telling of Gulliver's Travels, Jack Black plays Gulliver, a writer who is trying to find a story and ends up finding this island of small people. In Gulliver's world, he feels small and unimportant, but on this island, the inhabitants treat him like a king.
Not only is Jack Black starring in this movie, but Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), Emily Blunt (Devil Wears Prada), and Amanda Peet (A Lot Like Love) are also in it. Segel and Blunt play the mini-people, while Peet plays an actual sized person (no offense to little people). The movie just looks really funny and has some great lines in the trailer. It's a movie that parents will be able to take there kids to, but will probably enjoy as well.
The movie does some funny things with Gulliver being bigger than the island inhabitants, such as him playing foosball with actual people or playing Guitar Hero with an actual mini-band (both seen in the trailer). Hopefully all the funny parts aren't just in the trailer. The movie comes out December 22 2010. I'll be going to see it over winter break, will you? Below is the trailer for the movie:
Yep, you heard correct! iCarly and Victorious are having a crossover episode!!! When I first heard this, I flipped out. Being a huge fan of both iCarly and Victorious, this is like a dream come true for me (other than me being on/working on any Dan Schneider show). In one of my earlier blog posts, I discussed my love for Dan Schneider and all of his shows, so as you can see, I am very happy about this episode. Dan Schneider is so clever and all of his shows are hilarious and amazing. If you have never seen one, (WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!) you really should!
Anyway, this post is about the crossover episode. First off, I was a little skeptical at first, because both Victoria Jusice and Leon Thomas (Tori Vega and Andre Harris on Victorious) have been in iCarly episodes and I thought that it really shouldn't make sense that the characters don't recognize each other, but Dan Schneider recently released a funny youtube video making fun of this fact and made me not really care anymore.
There isn't much known about the episode, other than that it was filmed a couple of weeks ago. Many of the actors and Dan Schneider were tweeting about it. All that's known really is that the episode is called iParty with Victorious. The show will be in iCarly's fourth season and will be this seasons second double episode/TV movie/special. From what I've read, Carly and Tori are dating the same guy at the same time, which makes them hate each other. Their friends help them realize that there real enemy is the guy who cheated on them.
And if all of this didn't make you interested, Kenan Thompson is going to guest star! This is the first time he's been on a Dan Schneider show since All That! And to make things even better, according to Victoria Justice, at the end of the episode, both casts will do a mash-up of both there theme songs, karaoke style! I seriously can not wait for this episode! When it comes out, you will definitely see a post all about it! Below is a first look at behind-the-scenes of the crossover episode:
Of course I had to pimp out my acapella group at least once (not true, I'll do it every time we have a show probably) on my blog! I am in Emerson's Premiere Acapella Group, Noteworthy. I don't want to toot my own horn, but we are pretty awesome. Tomorrow night, November 4, we will be performing in the Cabaret (basement of the Little Building at Emerson College) at 8 PM. We have some new songs, some old favorites, and I am totally copying everything our advertisement says. But seriously, Noteworthy is great and we have some awesome songs that we know you will all love. If you don't know what acapella music is, come and find out (it's singing without instruments, and making sounds of the instruments with your voice)! If you are in the Boston area, you should really come check us out. The show is free, so just come on by. Below is a video of Noteworthy from last year (if you enjoy it, check out more videos on our youtube page):
One of the guys in Noteworthy, Dane Shubert (awesome guy), recently made a music video for a song he wrote and asked me to put it on my blog. Actually, here's exactly what he said "you got a chill ass blog. blow me up huh? feature my vid? luv ya buddy, xoxo". So here's his video, as I promised him, cause that "xoxo" ain't no bullsh*t! Bromances are nothing to joke about! The song is called "I'm Not Big On Youtube", but ironically, Dane hopes this will help him become big on Youtube. I hope you all enjoy it.
Alright, so that's all for today! I know it may be a lot, but the past couple of days haven't been too long, so I feel this makes up for it! If you're in the Boston area, you really should come see Noteworthy's show tomorrow night at 8 PM (and if you're not in Boston, get here by 8 PM tomorrow night!). I hope you enjoyed today's post.
If you like what you read today, come back and read again...and if you didn't "GO F*** YOURSELF!" Only joking, come back tomorrow and see if you like that. These are the things that I live, see, and hear everyday, they interest me and I hope they interest you. Thanks for checking out my blog!
Hello Bloggerverse (spell check says its not a word, but I think it is?)!!!
Alright, so I've been keeping my eyes and ears open to give you all the best and most interesting sh*t that I find out about. I'm back with my blog mojo after a tiring weekend and have a lot to tell you. So listen up, cause it's some serious sh*t.
This weekend Demi Lovato left the Jonas Brothers tour and checked into a rehabilitation clinic. A rep for Demi has said that she has checked in because of "emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for sometime". According to a source close to the family, Demi used to be bullied in school and had problems with eating disorders and cutting, but Demi has not released anything confirming this. I am very proud of Demi for taking responsibility for her actions and seeking help. I think that she is being very mature in doing this before something really gets out of hand. I for one am surprised that she made it to rehab before Miley. Though, I did think Miley would be in rehab for different reasons. Hopefully Demi will recover soon from whatever she is in rehab for.
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO OFFER COURSE ON LADY GAGA
Gaga fans everywhere will be applying to the University of South Carolina next semester for one course, and one course only..."Lady Gaga and the Sociology of Fame". Mathieu Deflem, a professor at the University of South Carolina and huge Lady Gaga fan, will be teaching a course next semester on the beloved Lady Gaga. The course will explore famous people and what makes someone famous in today's culture. I think that this sounds like an awesome course and I would totally take it.
Like Deflem, my Theatre into Film professor is teaching two interesting courses next year. One of them is the history of pornography, which he is still needs a name for (names he has: The Porn Identity, Thinking Outside the Box, and many other witty double entendres). The other class is called Queers in Space. This course studies gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning people in the science fiction genre. Although neither of these courses would have me writing an essay on the meaning of Poker Face for homework, they both seem super interesting, and I might take one of them. Are there any cool/interesting courses that you know of or have taken?
MUSICAL ABOUT HOUDINI IN THE WORKS
AARON SORKIN AND DANNY ELFMAN COLLABORATING WITH HUGH JACKMAN TO STAR
Sorkin, Elfman, Jackman, and Houdini, what do these four well known names have in common? Well it turns out that Aaron Sorkin (writer of The Social Network) and Danny Elfman (musical genius, whose music you'd know if you heard it; usually does Tim Burton movies) are working together on a musical about Harry Houdini. If those three names didn't already have you interested, the fourth will. Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) is who they want to play the world famous magician, Harry Houdini. For those of you who are not theatre geeks, you might not know, but Hugh Jackman is an amazing musical performer, he was in The Boy From Oz. These four names alone would have me investing in this Broadway show if I were a producer.
The show has been in the works for a while and will probably not make it to the stage until around 2012, but I have no doubt in my mind that it will make it there. Both Sorkin and Elfman are not strangers to the screen, but when it comes to the Great White Way, both are newbies. Aaron Sorkin is an amazing screenwriter, I just hope he can write for the stage just as well. Danny Elfman is a musical genius, so I know that he can do no wrong with this. And Hugh Jackman, in my opinion, is one of the greatest performers of our time. Not only can he act, but he can sing, and dance too. I think he will do so well with this part. I know that I would go see this musical, how about you?
WARNING: WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE IS CUTE AND CONTAINS WELL-DRESSED CHILDREN
So last week, I posted something about Back To The Future porn, which I feel was really targeted toward the guys that read my blog. So, to counteract the post I decided to post something I figured the females reading my blog would enjoy.
Today, once again, the wonderful Samantha Gottlieb introduced me to something great. Free People, a clothing company that most Long Island girls (especially most of the girls I've dated) love, has a children's clothing collection called Wee People (I find this rhyme very cute and clever)! The clothing is very fashionable for the age that they are targeting. Alright, I'm not gonna pretend like I know fashion, but all I can say is that the kids look really cute in the clothing. Whenever children are well-dressed they look even cuter than normal. Some of the outfits on the site are very pricey, but I don't care, my daughter will be wearing clothes for Wee People. My son will probably wear J. Crew, because the children's section there is equally as cute.
Before I said that this post is for my the females that read my blog, but it was kind of a lie. If you know me, you know that I think little children and babies are super cute (not in a pedophile/creepy way). So if you're like me and you love little children and babies, especially in nice clothing, you should check out the Wee People site. And after you're done with that check out the J. Crew Kids Section too.
I would like to reiterate, I am not creepy! Children are cute!

HEY BLOG READERS!!! MY STEP BROTHER OF ONE OF HIS LADY FRIENDS WERE MR. & MRS. POTATO HEAD FOR HALLOWEEN AND YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR THEIR COSTUMES FOR THE COSTUME CONTEST!!! THE LINK IS BELOW AND SO IS A PIC OF THEM!!!
So since I didn't get a chance to blog last night, I figured I'd make today's blog all about interesting Halloween related things that I saw all weekend. So sit back and enjoy the spooky halloweeny things that I saw this weekend...alright, they're not that spooky, just enjoy them!
So apparently in Belleville, Illinois, the mayor said that he will fine $100 to anyone over the age of 12 who is caught trick-or-treating. Seriously?! Now teenagers aren't allowed to get free candy? Apparently many older residents of the town and single moms feel much safer now when they open the door, because of this law. How menacing is a 14-year-old teen dressed as McLovin? I don't see why someone would have to ruin a holiday as awesome as Halloween. I for one did not go trick-or-treating last night and it saddened me very much. Trick-or-treating is the best part of Halloween! Besides the dressing up part! But, can you actually put an age on trick-or-treating? What do you think? Though I do think that these trick-or-treaters might be a little too old:
So this weekend was a weekend of mischief, debauchery, and of course, really awesome Jack-O-Lanterns! Walking around last night, I saw some pretty cool and creative Jack-O-Lanterns, but none as creative as the ones I saw on College Humor:
So there are these guys named Jake & Amir, and they are hilarious! They are characters, but also real people, it's sort of a conundrum. The actors for Jake & Amir are Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld, they work for College Humor and in there little web shorts, they...work for College Humor. So it is basically art imitating life. There little web shorts are very funny. Recently they did a short about Trick or Treating in which Amir is dressed in a very weird costume and discusses with Jake how he pays kids for the candy they get on Halloween. Amir is basically an idiot, and Jake is the sane one. It is a modern day Odd Couple. Check out the video here:
I recently just read that Kenny Ortega (director of High School Musical and Newsies) has said he might direct a movie based on Michael Jackson's Thriller. He said it is in the very, very early stages of development and that the estate would have to sign off on it, but he wants to do it. So we've had movies made from comic books, books, plays, and now music videos? I really just want to see how much of a script they could make off of the music video until it stops being based off of it and is just a horror musical. And also, will it be a musical? We will find out in the future...hopefully! All I know is Kenny Ortega is like Dan Schneider, he can do no wrong. So no matter what, this will be good. Here is a video I saw of an awesomely decorated Thriller inspired house:
Sorry that all of my posts were very short and not about that much today. This weekend was very eventful and I couldn't find too much! Don't worry, I'll be back to my regular blogging tomorrow!
OH!!! And for those of you who were wondering what I was for Halloween this weekend.....I WAS SUE SYLVESTER!!!
"You think this is hard?! I have hepatitis, that's hard!"
