HARRY POTTER IS TONIGHT!!!

Hello Bloggerverse (I've decided that while Congress is voting on if it becomes a word or not, I will just ignore the fact that there is a line under the word...that red dotted line...that line that tells the world that this word is not real...but just you wait SpellCheck! It shall be! Oh yes! It shall be a word!)

Anyway, HARRY POTTER COMES OUT TONIGHT!!! For those of you who don't know what Harry Potter is....I have nothing to say, unless you're a baby who was born yesterday and just learned to read by reading my blog over the past 24 hours, then I forgive you for not knowing what it is. And congratulations on being born! You are now a day old! Mazel Tov! Anyway, this blog post really has nothing to do with Harry Potter, but I'm just very excited for the release! Don't worry, the blog is still fun and interesting and awesome, so read and enjoy.

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN MUSICAL COMING THIS SPRING

Catch Me If You Can Poster
Remember that Spieldberg movie from 2002 about the con-man, Frank Abagnale Jr., played by Leonardo DiCaprio, who kept slipping through the fingers of FBI agent, Carl Hanratty, played by Tom Hanks. Remember? He made counterfeit money...pretended to be a pilot, doctor, teacher, etc. Oh, now you do. Good. Well guess what?! They made it into a musical! Now I know what most of you are thinking, "Oh no! Another movie made into a musical?!". But actually, this musical has been getting some great reviews and I think will actually be really good.

The show is being directed by Jack O'Brien and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, both of whom worked on Hairspray together. And although most of us forget, before the Nikki Blonsky/Zac Efron "Hairspray" that we all know and love, there was a Hairspray from the 80s that wasn't a musical. So don't go dissing this new musical just yet. The two actors set to play the parts orignally played by DiCaprio and Hanks, Abagnale Jr. and Hanratty, will be Aaron Tveit (Next To Normal) and Norbert Leo Butz (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels). Now I have seen both Next To Normal and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with these two actors in them, and I can tell you that they are phenomenal! Both are perfect choices for each of the characters and I really can't wait to see them in action. The show will start previews on March 7 2011 and will have it's opening night on April 10 2011. I for one will be buying tickets and seeing this show, how about you? Below is a video of one of the songs from the show called "Fly, Fly Away" (Sorry for the poor quality):

GREEN LANTERN HITS THEATERS THIS SUMMER
Story from SlashFilm
Ryan Reynolds as The Green Lantern
Finally, Warner Bros has released the trailer for Green Lantern. For once women and comic book geeks are on the same page, they both can't wait for this movie to come out. Though the comic book fans want the story, while the women want Reynolds body, but still it's nice to know that we're getting closer to living in an Apatow World.

Ryan Reynolds stars as Hal Jordan, otherwise known as The Green Lantern in DC's newest superhero movie. This movie caters to both men and women in just the fact of casting. Reynolds as The Green Lantern and the beautiful Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) as Carol Ferris. I already wanted to see this film, but now that I know that Blake Lively looks incredibly hot in it makes me want to see it even more. The super suit looks a little weird and too CGI to me, so hopefully it doesn't actually look like that during the movie, cause I think my eyes might start to hurt. I think that the humor in the trailer is okay, but I honestly believe Ryan Reynolds is hysterical, so I really hope the guy who edited the trailer just picked bad scenes. The movie does look pretty epic. One weird thing is the fact that they only really show the ring being used once, and I thought they'd accent it more because that's where The Green Lantern's power derives from. Anyway, I have high hopes for this movie and I really hope that they are fulfilled. Below is the trailer for Green Lantern, so you decide if you're going to go see it this summer or just buy it on DVD:

SO MANY CHANGES TO AMERICAN IDOL
WILL YOU STILL WATCH?
Story from TVGuide
The New Judges: Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler
I can still remember back to watching Kelly Clarkson singing "A Moment Like This" after she became the first American Idol ever. The show has become a phenomenon and has lasted 9 seasons. The 10th season is coming up and it really just doesn't feel like the same American Idol anymore. I used to watch American Idol religiously, but over the past couple of years, I usually will just watch the auditions (for the really horrible singers), Idol Gives Back, and the finale.

The show is going into some big changes in it's 10th season, and I'm not really sure if this will help or hurt them. First off, the new panel of judges consists of Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler. I don't know it just really doesn't feel like the same feel of the original American Idol now that both Paula and Simon are off the show...especially Simon. Another change is that the idols will have do stuff like make the best music video to promote themselves. Since when do artists make there own music videos anyway? They're just trying to make the show different, but I don't like this new addition. Other changes such as an in-house mentor, and the themes of each week are decades now instead of artists are also in affect.

I don't know, it just doesn't seem like the American Idol that I first feel in love with years ago. We'll see how these changes affect the ratings. American Idol starts up again this January. Are you going to watch?

ROBERT ZEMECKIS WILL NOT DIRECT WIZARD OF OZ REMAKE
Story from SlashFilm
"Warner Bros. remaking our movie, oh my!"
Yesterday I told you all that Warner Bros. wants to remake The Wizard of Oz with Robert Zemeckis as the director. Well we're in luck! Robert Zemeckis will not be directing this movie, although he was on the top of Warner Bros. list of directors for the project. Although, we are still not in luck because Warner Bros. is still going on with this picture. Am I the only one who thinks that you can't remake a classic like The Wizard of Oz?

MERCHANDISE FOR MY BLOG
This kid wants some merchandise!
Alright, so last night I was messing around on Custom Ink, an awesome custom clothing design website, and I made a shirt to sell to all of my Phans! Right now the shirts are just for show and are a little joke, but hopefully when my blog blows up and becomes big, I'll actually be able to sell them. If I seriously have enough people who contact me (lifeandeverythinginteresting@gmail.com) telling me they want these shirts, I might actually start selling them sooner. The shirts are below! I hope you enjoy them!
